Bay Area Early in Career Mentorship

Early in Career mentorship program for students and young professionals

The LebNet Bay Area community is launching a mentorship initiative to assist early career individuals in their development journey and professional growth.  The program is currently on the lookout for mentors and mentees.

Sign up to be a mentee if you are in the Bay Area and are currently a student or have been working in tech for 2 years or less. Types of mentorship you could receive:

    • Insight into different career paths you might want to explore
    • Advice on your next career move
    • Feedback on your resume and/or portfolio

Sign up to be a mentor if you are in the Bay Area, currently working in tech with experience, and interested in mentoring early in career individuals

    • Mentors are expected to commit a total of 1.5h over the course of 2 weeks (or more if you’d like!) to support mentees through 1:1 virtual session(s)

Interested mentors or mentees can sign up to join the program by filling this form by September 15th, 2022.

“Mentors are often a key factor people attribute their success to, so we are excited to kickstart this program which we believe will bring great value to the LebNet community,” said Nathalie Saade, a LebNet Bay Area steering committee member and Applied Research Manager, ML at Meta. “Our top priority is to provide high-quality mentorship that is goal-oriented, efficient, and effective. Our program provides structured mentorship with templates to help mentees achieve their goals and mentors focus on progress with minimal effort.

Nathalie went on to add that the “Lebanese community has incredible talent in the Bay Area, making this mentorship program a unique opportunity for mentees to consult with top professionals and a way for mentors to play a big role in uplifting the community.”

This aligns with LebNet’s Mentorship program derived from its mission to nurture and support High-Tech professionals and entrepreneurs of Lebanese descent.

LebNet, a non-profit organization, serves as a multi-faceted platform for Lebanese professionals residing in the US and Canada, entrepreneurs, investors, business partners in a broad technology eco-system, and acts as a bridge to their counterparts in Lebanon and the rest of the Middle East
