PROGRAM BENEFITS

What value does this program offer?

40% YOUTH (15-24 YEARS) UNEMPLOYMENT

Lebanon's financial crisis has left 75% of the population in poverty and unemployment rates high.

The LTF program offers a vital pathway to upward mobility for hundreds of ambitious Lebanese youth.

EDUCATION DISPARITY

Socioeconomic factors limit students’ access to quality higher education and hinders their pursuits of tech careers.

The LTF program helps university students, especially first-generation and low-income, to plan for successful tech careers.

GENDER GAP

Women face barriers to entering and advancing in Tech due to societal expecta- tions and inadequate support systems.

The first cohort targeted women. While we’ll continue prioritizing women, LTF is now open to all genders to maximize impact.

BRAIN DRAIN

Thousands of highly skilled Lebanese in tech leave the country for better opportunities abroad, draining Lebanon of valuable talent.

LTF fosters a commitment to giving back to Lebanon, offering alumni volunteer opportunities and inviting LebNet members as guest speakers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes, you are eligible to apply and will be considered a first-year undergraduate applicant.

Please submit the transcript of your final year in high school instead.

The fellowship program offerings are set up with the expectation that fellows will have at least one year of studies left to incorporate the takeaways from the fellowship program into their academic and professional profile, in preparation for transition to post-university life.

We do not have a GPA cut-off. We will review applications holistically, so applicants’ academic and extracurricular experiences, as well as ambitions and goals will factor into our decision.
