Meet Katia Tamer


At the age of 17, Katia started interviewing entrepreneurs and VCs to come up with a thesis on the key success factors of startups. She then interned at several startups before joining the Marketing team at Google. In 2021, Katia launched her own venture, Chaya, to address the lack of basic nutrition information accessibility. LebNet LA/OC at The House of Lebanon Job Fair

On January 29th, The House of Lebanon, a Lebanese cultural center located in Los Angeles, hosted a Career Fair, where the LebNet LA/OC community had the chance to meet with many students of Lebanese descent. According to Joelle Harika from the LA/OC steering committee, most of the students were turning to LebNet looking for mentorship and internship. “It truly was a pleasure meeting the new and upcoming generation of students. There were a total of about 50 people that showed up to the event and we got 15 to 17 to sign up to LebNet!,” said community lead Samer Hijazi.
